Filmed over nearly three years, WASTE LAND follows renowned artist Vik Muniz as he journeys from his home base in Brooklyn to his native Brazil and the world's largest garbage dump, Jardim Gramacho, located on the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro. There he photographs an eclectic band of "catadores" -- or self-designated pickers of recyclable materials.

  • UbuWeb

    • UbuWeb was a web-based educational resource for avant-garde material available on the internet, which was active from 1996 to 2023 by poet Kenneth Goldsmith. It offered visual, concrete and sound poetry, expanding to include film and sound art mp3 archives.[1][2]

      On January 1, 2024, UbuWeb shuttered, posting: "As of 2024, UbuWeb is no longer active. The archive is preserved for perpetuity, in its entirety."
