In Premiere Pro, go to Window → Workspaces and select the Editing workspace. This gives you the panels you’ll use most (Project and Source panels, Timeline, Program Monitor).
Arrange the panels: make sure you can see your Project panel (where your media lives), your Timeline (where you edit) and your Program Monitor (what you’re editing).
If you like your panel arrangement, save it: Window → Workspaces → Save as New Workspace…. That way, you can easily return to it later.
