Netflix allows teachers to screen some documentaries in their classrooms. Read more on their site for terms and a list of current titles. Screening these films requires logging in to a personal Netflix account, as the library is unable to purchase access to these titles.
Netflix also provides roughly 40+ educational documentaries available to screen without an account via YouTube, these films are legal to stream in class or other type of non-commercial public event. Currently titles include:

Netflix offers more documentaries, not on their YouTube channel, you must have an account in order to screen. Search Netflix Media Center for titles to discover if Grant of Rights for screenings are available. Note that Netflix and Netflix Media Center are two different interfaces.
