You will need to find the industry classification code for the specific industry you are researching, because many of the databases used for industry research are organized by industry codes.
Finding and Using Industry Codes
Step 1
Search the industry by broad keyword at the NAICS website to find the industry code. For example, if your industry is "craft beer", search NAICS with the keyword "beer."
Step 2
Use the industry code you found for beer to search a database such as Business Source Complete or another database at right for information about the beer industry in general, which includes craft beer.
