START HERE. The Census Bureau has so much relevant statistical data it would be very difficult to put it all in this Guide.

The BLS is a non-partisan govt agency that simplifies for use the massive amounts of data related to the labor force.

• Women in the Labor Force:  Data goes back many years.  


• Gender in the Sciences:  Statistics  from the National Science Foundation : how many women are in each field of the sciences.   

The Centers for Disease Control has lots of statistics regarding women's health. These data includes numbers for abortion, birth control, and various other pregnancy related statistics.

Online and searchable, more data than you can imagine: degree attainment for specific levels by age and sex, for example. Browse or use the search box.

Easy to use. Stats about everything (search for broad terms), in handy graphs and tables.

For information about other countries, gathered from many UN databases and web sites. Use the search box to look for specific info, or browse to countries' web sites.
