To find a biography, search ALICE or Articles Plus with an advanced search. 

On the first line copy and paste this search string:

        biograph* or autobiograph* or diary or memoir or narrative 

on the second line, describe your desired topic - think broadly! 

       AND Latina or mexic* 

Then, if necessary, on the third line:

      AND women or female* 

Here's the list that search creates in ALICE: 340+ items.  

(If your set is too small, use Articles Plus instead.) 

For historical persons, look at the options under "primary documents" for lots of ideas and places to look.  

Try wikipedia, of course -- remembering the caveat....
