The call number range for French printed dictionaries is PC2601 through PC2699. There are many non-circulating dictionaries in the Reference Collection on the 2nd floor of Alden Library. For volumes which you can check out, try the same call number area on the 7th floor.

Here are two major, multi-volume French dictionaries, both in the Reference Collection on the 2nd floor of Alden Library:

  1. Trésor de la langue française; dictionnaire de la langue du XIXe et du XXe siècle (1789-1960), publié sous, la direction de Paul Imbs. Paris, Éditions du Centre national de la recherche scientifique, 1971- . It is also available online.
  2. Le grand Robert de la langue française. Paris : Dictionnaires Le Robert, c2001.
