Use of Generative AI in Evidence Synthesis Projects

Tips for when to use AI platforms in a systematic review or similar evidence synthesis project:

  1. Have it generative alternative terminology and synonyms to amplify your search strategy.
  2. Provide a well-prompted question to ChatGPT to generate an advanced search in PubMed, using MeSH, for your topic. Compare this search strategy to your own to see if you want add any terminology or missed a MeSH term. Do not use this search strategy to gather records, just as a check.
