American Music is an independent, peer-reviewed journal published quarterly by the University of Illinois Press. Its articles, reviews, and special issues are devoted to American music in the broadest sense, including musical practices of North, South, and Central America as well as American musics performed anywhere in the world. - American Theatre

Journal of Singing is the official journal of National Association of Teachers of Singing, providing current information regarding the teaching of singing as well as results of recent research in the field. - Playbill
Includes articles about the theater in the regional United States, New York and London, England. It also carries the same features as the editions issued for specific plays; but the subscription edition does not carry specific programs for plays. - Popular Music and Society
Popular Music and Society, founded in 1971, publishes articles, book reviews, and audio reviews on popular music of any genre, time period, or geographic location. Popular Music and Society is open to all scholarly orientations toward popular music, including (but not limited to) historical, theoretical, critical, sociological, and cultural approaches. - Studies in Musical Theatre
Studies in Musical Theatre is a refereed journal which considers areas of live performance that use vocal and instrumental music in conjunction with theatrical performance as a principal part of their expressive language
The Music and Dance Library does not subscribe to all of the above journals, therefore, not all of the journals linked above will have current publications. Current publications can be accessed through additional resources such as OhioLINK and Interlibrary Loan.
