Multimedia Educational Resource for Learning and Online Teaching (MERLOT) is a community of staff, volunteers, and members who work together to provide users of OER with teaching and learning materials. The MERLOT system provides access to curated online learning, support materials, and content creation tools, and is led by an international community of educators, learners, and researchers.

Open Textbook Library contains textbooks that have been funded, published, and licensed to be freely used, adapted, and distributed. These books have been reviewed by faculty from a variety of colleges and universities to assess their quality. They can be downloaded for no cost, or printed at low cost. All textbooks are either used at multiple higher education institutions or affiliated with an institution, scholarly society, or professional organization.
Project Gutenberg is a library of over 60,000 free eBooks. Choose among free epub and Kindle eBooks; download them or read them online. The focus is on older works for which U.S. copyright has expired.
