In 1972 Democrat Shirley Chisholm became the first woman and African American to seek the presidential nomination. This poster is an extremely important addition to the Collection of Presidential campaign artifacts 1804-1972. The poster, along with other campaign artifacts will be on display in Alden Library, November 2024.
