2. Create an Account
Before submitting your work, follow the Sign Up link on the OHIO Open Library Login screen.
Creating an account associates a submission with a contributor and helps prevent mischievous submissions. Your email will only be used for publishing notification emails.
3. Activate Account
bepress.com will send you an automated email for you to confirm your account.
4. Submit Your Work

5. Accept the Submission Agreement
Please affirm that you have signed and returned the OHIO Open Library Contributor Agreement.
6. Enter Information About Your Project
Title
The following formulation is highly recommended:
Interviewee name Interview by student name, date
For example:
Jane Smith Interview by Terry Student, January 1, 2022
Author
Edit your name, if necessary. Make sure the Institution is Ohio University.
Add the interviewee's name as an author. Change the interviewee's position number to 1.

Date the interview occurred.
Description
This can be a summary of the interview. It can be (or include) a biography of the interviewee. An example at CSU.
Keywords
Enter important terms, separated by commas, such as places, historical events, occupations, and concepts from the interview.
For example: Athens Ohio, best friends, feminism, civil rights movements, family farms, ukuleles, love letters, Alexander High School, COVID-19

Upload File
Cover Image
Optional, but enhances the user experience. You can upload a photograph of the interviewee or other imagery that captures the essence of your project. If no cover image is desired, leave the selection as "Use 1st page of PDF" which will leave the cover image blank.
Additional Files
Optional. If you check this box, you will be prompted to upload additional files after you click the Submit button. Additional/supplemental files supported: PDF, Word, RTF. txt, xlsx. Page visitors can download these files from your thesis page. Note: You add additional files after you click Submit. The next screen – “Upload Supplemental Content” – allows you to add files one at a time. It takes a moment to process each file. When processing is complete, you will see a box in which you can write a description for each file.

8. Finish; or upload additional files
If you opted to upload additional files, you should arrive at the upload page. Browse for files on your computer. You have the opportunity to provide a description of the file. Be sure to click Continue after uploading any files.
The final screen should indicate a successful upload. Unless you need to make any changes to your submission, you can log out via the My Account link in the header or simply close the tab.
OHIO Open Library administrators will be notified of the submission. After verifying that the Contributor Agreement and any Consent/Release forms have been received, the work will go live on the site (usually in less than 24 hours).
