Music Periodicals Database
Music Periodicals Database indexes more than 600 international scholarly and popular music journals. It covers both classical and popular music, and includes music education, performance, ethnomusicology, musical theater, and theory. The database currently has over 600,000 article records. Around 200,000 records are from the backfile (up to 1995), much of this coverage beginning with the first issue of the journal run--some as early as 1874. Abstracts are available from 1874 to present, plus full text for 220 journals.
