Children's Literature on the Lancaster Campus

Four bookshelves of children's literature on both sides. A large dragon stuffed animal sits at the base of one of the shelves.

The Hannah V. McCauley Library is proud to house over 9,000 items in our children's literature collection where patrons can find books for children ages 0-16.

The collection also includes over 300 large-format books, which are perfect for reading in front of kids in a classroom setting. Patrons need to be on the Lancaster Campus to check out the big books. It's the perfect excuse to invite students from online classes to meet up in Lancaster!

Within the Child Lit collection, there are groups of material matched to specific topics like language arts, math, social studies, etc. These items are shelved in the Curriculum Collection. Curriculum items include reproducible worksheets, manipulatives, games, etc.

Finding children's books in the library is possible by changing the location in the library search to Lancaster Children's Literature. Once that location is selected, all searches will look within the collection of books identified as children's book.

The Hannah V. McCauley Library is fortunate to have a children's book author with experience editing and writing books for children in the manager position. To request a special instruction session with Judy, email her at careynev@ohio.edu or call 740-681-3351
